Hey Mark,
You are absolutely right. I always try to get groups to do things that will make their initial school fundraiser better and more profitable and then cut back on the number of fundraisers they do during the year. Fundraising can definitely be overdone!

Thanks Mark,
You are absolutely right! I recommend that schools only do at most one fundraiser per semester. That's why we try to coach our schools in how to run their program most effectively. It takes the same number of volunteers to run a poor sale as a great sale. Only with the latter everyone is happier! :o)

I agree with most everything you have written here, on thing I would suggest caution on "multipul streams of Income". Spreading yourself too thin is just as bad as counting on one item. So do not get so diverse that become a "jack of all trades and master of none"

4 different Fundraisers through out the will definately keep you on your toes..... additionally too many projects and it will start to become difficult to find people to deligate to :-)

Keep up the great writting!

Regards,

Please feel free to make any comments or suggestions that you think might help people run a better school fundraising campaign.

People (schools) tend to get in a rut and end up going years before seeing any real improvement in their school fundraising results. So anything that you have done that you think might have had a role in your school's latest fundraising success, please feel free to share.

Thank you,
Juan Franco
